Learn the History of the St. Peter’s Canal on a Sailing Tour
Join Richmond Adventure Planning on a St. Peter’s Canal sailing tour! The history and operation of the St. Peter’s Canal is a motorized tour through the St. Peter’s Canal which takes about one and a half hours. During this time, we learn about the history of the canal and its operation over the years. Experience the swing bridge, the swing swimmers, a unique double door tidal lock system and learn about the history of the canal. And, of course, enjoy gorgeous Cape Breton scenery with unrivaled views of St. Peter’s.
We are partners with Parks Canada at the St. Peter’s Canal National Historic Site. We demonstrate our dedication to sustainable tourism and visitor safety throughout all of our Cape Breton sailing tours.
You are welcome to sit back and relax while we take care of the sailing, or we are happy to show you the ropes and get you familiar with sailing!
